Deductions in payroll can be created for many uses, such as a child support or salary sacrifices.
- In the Options tab, click Deduction.
- Click New.
- Give the deduction a Name and Description.
- Enter a deduction Amount or Percentage.
- Choose a corresponding GL Account.
- Select a Deduction Type.
- Choose your Options for auto applying every pay run, if the deduction is part of OTE etc.
- Click Save.
If the deduction amount will change each time it is used, enter an amount of $1, and use the multiplier in the payrun
