The return parts for credit function is to be used to keep track of damaged/faulty parts you wish to return to the supplier, whether individually or multiple parts that you have accumulated over time and are returning together.
- In the Purchase Parts tab, click Return Parts for Credit.
- Click Add.
- Enter the Date of Problem.
- If the part was returned from a customer sale, enter the Returning Customer (leave blank if part was not sold).
- Enter the Part Number, Qty Returned, and any Notes you wish you record.
- Enter the Original Supplier Order Number.
- Click Save.
- Click Yes.
- You will then be asked if you wish you create the Supplier Credit Request now. If you are returning only 1 part, click yes. If you wish to accumulate a few more parts before returning to the supplier, click no.
- In the below example we clicked no to creating the Supplier Credit Request, so the part is now sitting under Pending Parts in the Return Parts for Credit screen.
- When you are ready to create the Supplier Credit, under the Purchase Parts tab, click New Purchase Order.
- Enter the Supplier, tick the box for Credit Note, then click Add Return Parts.
- All pending parts that have been entered in the Return Parts for Credit screen will display, Select the parts you wish to return, and click Add to Invoice.
- Complete the return as per usual. If you click Save Credit, the parts will display under the Processed Parts tab in the Return Parts for Credit screen. If you click Process Credit, the parts will appear under the Finalised Parts tab.
