How to print and reconcile the daily banking report

Modified on Wed, 29 Jan at 10:48 AM

The Daily Banking report should be printed at the end of each day and given to your admin team, along with the EFTPOS slips and any cash taken. This report is then used to receipt the money taken in Eclipse during the banking process.

This task should be done by whoever settles up for the day. If that is someone in the parts or service department, the report can be found under the Financial tab in the Reports tab of their respective modules.

This process needs to be done per EFTPOS machine to represent the statement EFTPOS deposit line

Printing the Report

  1. In the Reports tab, click Reports.

  2. Navigate to the Financial tab.
  3. Select the Parts/Service/Receipts Banking Report.
  4. Enter the relevant Dates.
  5. Choose Cash/Other as the Sort Option.
  6. Select All Cash Sales as the Grouping Option.
  7. Click OK

Reconciling the Report

  1. Collect your EFTPOS Slips and print out the EFTPOS Settlement.
  2. Match each individual EFTPOS slip to the transactions under the Other section.
  3. EFTPOS Settlement should match the Other $ Totals on the report.
  4. Match any Cash taken to the transactions under the Cash section.
  5. Cash taken should match the Cash $ Totals on the report.

Troubleshooting

If there is an EFTPOS slip or cash that isn't on the report, check the following:

- The Parts/Service Invoice has been closed, if the invoice is still open it will not show on the report.

- The Date on the invoice, if the invoice was closed on a different date to the report dates, it will not show.
