Sometimes customers will either overpay invoices or a sale will fall through that already has money banked against it. In cases like these you may be required to fund the money to the customer.
- In the Accounts Payable tab, click Make Payments, then Bulk Payments and Transfers.
- Use the 3 dots to select your Debtors Account.
- Select the customer (you can see in the screenshot below that the credit is in brackets), and then click Payment.
- Select the Bank Account you will be refunding from.
- Enter the Payment Date, Payment Type, a Reference, and a Narration.
- Select the link item to refund, then click Post.
