Each time you complete a payrun, the total superannuation to be paid will be calculated, and then usually monthly or quarterly your business will pay that superannuation owing into the employees super fund. This can be done manually, or streamlined through the Eclipse Payroll program using SuperStream uploads.
- In the Main tab, click Super Payment Register.
- The Employee SuperStream Summary will display all outstanding amounts to be paid. Click New Super Payment.
- Select the Up To Date (the date selected will show outstanding super payments up until that date). The screen is broken up into 2 halves, the top half displays the total outstanding for the employee, while the bottom half displays all the transactions that make up the total.
- If paying the total for the employee, click the Pay box in the top screen. If you are only paying part of the total, click Individual Lines in the bottom half of the screen. The total to be paid for all employees will start tallying in the top right of the screen.
- Once you have selected all super payments to be paid, click Save.
- If you are using SuperStream integration, navigate to the SuperStream Documents tab. Click Upload File to upload to SuperStream.
- If you are paying your employees super manually you can now go and pay from your bank account.
- The last step is now done in the Stock & Accounting module. Navigate to the Staff tab, and click Import Payroll. This will import the super payment journal into your accounting system.
You must click import payroll on the same day you mark the super payments paid in payroll, otherwise the journal will not be created
